Zero will soon be available through Google Pay!

We are undergoing a period of testing among our staff but are delighted to let you know that we will be available through Google Pay later this month.

Availability through Apple Pay will follow soon after in the coming months.

We know that use of digital wallets is important to many of our customers so have been working hard from the early days to introduce this feature as soon as possible.

The most recent figures from UK Finance show 42 percent of UK adults were registered for mobile contactless payments (Google Pay or Apple Pay) in 2023, and one third (34 percent) making mobile contactless payments at least once a month in 2023.

Feature developments such as this are vital to our mission to help our customers live and spend more sustainably - effortlessly.

Other ways we seek to do this are:

  • offering a 95% recycled plastic debit Mastercard for those of you who still prefer a physical card
  • enabling customers to use their Zero card overseas in any currency, with Zero fees and Zero commission
  • Our GreenScore - allowing you to see the environmental impact of your spending (and soon, wider lifestyle choices) and offering you simple insights on how to reduce your impact
  • building in a high level of security and fraud protection into the app from the very start
  • instant phone notifications as soon as you pay

And there are many other exciting features coming soon - so watch this space!
